Hey Babes!

Summer is coming, and I personally can’t wait!

It’s all about soaking up the sun, getting outdoors and ditching the layers that have been wearing us down all winter.

I live in Miami, so I never really have to wrap up too much, but that doesn’t mean I don’t celebrate when summer rolls around. My favorite way to welcome in the warmer months is by hitting the grocery store and stocking up on colourful fruits and vegetables. There’s something about the warmer weather and sunshine that makes me love fruits and vegetables even more than I already do, so I thought I’d share one of my favorite smoothie bowl recipes with you all.

This bowl has plenty of fibre and healthy fats from the coconut oil and avocado (my fave!). The mixed berries are full of antioxidants and the banana will give you a natural boost of energy, potassium and vitamin B6 which are great for post workout recovery and improving brain function. I also throw in some Blessed vegan protein to keep me feeling fuller for longer and help fuel my muscles and keep them growing.

One of my favorite things about smoothie bowls is how versatile they are. All you need is a good base of ingredients, like a high quality protein powder, unsweetened almond milk and either ice cubes or delicious frozen fruits. Once you’ve got these basics the flavour possibilities are endless! Add your favorite fruits on top or some crunchy granola, chia seeds or simply honey.

This is food that is easy peasy to make, looks delicious, tastes delicious and is good for you! What’s not to love?!?
